Team report

The 7th Lion Cup Dragon Boat Race took place on May 11, 2024, where we proudly represented the University of Vienna. Our team consisted mainly of rowers, which made the event an exciting challenge as dragon boating was a completely new sport for most of us.

We mastered the race with flying colors, fighting hard and ultimately coming in 4th place over the 200m course.

On May 12th we took the opportunity to explore the picturesque island of Burano. We set off in our dragon boat and enjoyed the island's characteristic architecture and relaxed atmosphere. It was a valuable experience to come together as a team and experience the beauty of Venice's surroundings.

The trip to the island of Burano was a successful conclusion to an eventful weekend. It was an opportunity to try new things together, use common strengths to function as a team and also relax together.

Summary: As a team, we can not only row fast, we can also paddle solidly ;)
